I think that all people hold part of the truth, and they are searching for The Truth with a capital 'T' if there is any, which refers to the actual reality of how things are. I have come to the conclusion and the conviction that what represents The Truth with precision is Islam.
If wrong had been pure and unmixed it would not be hidden from those who are in search of it. And if right had been pure without admixture of wrong those who bear hatred towards it would have been silenced. What is, however, done is that something is taken from here and something from there and the two are mixed!
- From Nahjul Balaghah Sermon Fifty
There is God, the one, the transcendent, one supreme and without origin or end, inconceivable of essence to the human mind and conception. He is the creator of all that is seen and unseen, the creator of time and space, the originator, fashioner and maintainer. He created us and the various realms of existence, like worlds of their own.
He is incomparable to anything else. He created the divine realm of benevolent beings such as the hierarchy of the various kinds of angels, as well as the dark realm of malevolent beings such as the hierarchy of the various kinds of demons. They perform various tasks, whether for good or evil.
It is by means of a particular angel, Gabriel, that God communicates with humankind by divine revelation, thereby enlightening the people to understanding the essential questions of life such as 'Who am I?' 'Where did I come from?' 'What am I supposed to be doing here?' 'Where am I headed?' The angel descends upon chosen people that are conducive vessels for receiving the divine teachings and guidance, known as the prophets.
The prophets of God are created not prone to sin or evil by nature in order to protect the revelation's conveyal. They are capable of internalizing the divine teachings, thus serving as excellent models for their respective communities to look up to and follow. They were sent to all parts of the world with the singular message in essence, the oneness and transcendence of God and the implementation of good living and manners.
Various prophets include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and those in between, across time and place. For the completion of God's providence for humankind, Muhammad was sent as the seal of the prophets, the final messenger of God, come to confirm and universalize the divine revelation that had progressed and led to his moment of arrival.
In contrast to previous revelations which were local and time bound, Muhammad was inspired with the Quran, the word of God in the Arabic form for all people to follow. It is of utmost eloquent style, limitless depth and meaning, timeless relevance and provocation, and transcendent expression without comparison or competition.
The Quran contains within its covers the full expanse of truth, directing the genuine reader's attention to the facts of reality, past, present and future. Every discipline will derive compelling answers from it, whether economics, anthropology, history, science, medicine, or psychology.
The above explicated the workings of the fundamental diagram of Islam:
